    How to access the blood test service for adults:

    1. Referral via GP

    You must have a blood form from your GP to access the blood test service. 

    Where can adults be seen in the Swansea Bay University Health Board area for blood tests?

    Blood test services for adults within the Swansea Bay University Health Board area are based at Central Clinic, Gorseinon Hospital, Morriston Hospital, Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Port Talbot Resource Centre and Singleton Hospital. 
    Please note the following tests must be performed at a specific sites:

    - Quantiferon:  Only available at Singleton Hospital, Morriston Hospital or Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Monday to Thursday mornings.

    - Cryoglobulins:  Only available at Morriston Hospital
     

    You can book a blood test online via the online booking system.  

    If you can’t book an appointment online, require multiple blood tests at fixed intervals, or need to book a blood test more than four weeks in advance, please telephone 01792 601807, between 9.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.  





    How to access the blood test service for children:

    1. Referral via GP

    Children must have a blood form from your GP to access the blood test service. 

    Where can children be seen in the Swansea Bay University Health Board area for blood tests?

    Blood test services for children, aged under 12 years old, within the Swansea Bay University Health Board area are based at Singleton Hospital.  To book an appointment, please contact Singleton Hospital paediatric department on telephone number 01792 530636 between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

    Blood test services for children, aged 12 years old or over, within the Swansea Bay University Health Board area are based at Central Clinic, Gorseinon Hospital, Morriston Hospital, Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Port Talbot Resource Centre and Singleton Hospital.  To book an appointment,
     use the online booking form or the main booking telephone number on 01792 601807.  Please note if over 12's require local anaesthetic they will need to book into a paediatric blood test clinic.





    How to access services such as anticoagulation clinics or ante-natal blood tests:

    The Swansea Anticoagulation Clinic can be contacted on 01792 618876 between 9.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.  This service is by appointment only.

    Ante-natal blood tests are no longer carried out in general blood test departments unless otherwise stated and you have a form.  Midwives have requested that all patients attend the ante-natal departments in either Singleton Hospital or Neath Port Talbot hospital
