    Summary

    Sexual health clinics offer a range of services to support a range of sexual health needs.  The clinics will offer support, testing and treatment and may refer onward if needed.  

    Services are currently by appointment only and the helpline can be very busy at times - the advice is to keep trying the telephone line. You cannot leave a message. The helpline will direct you to the most appropriate clinic.

    Note: the normal opening hours outlined below are the helpline opening hours, and not the individual hubs.

    If the helpline is not available, contact your GP practice for advice during normal opening hours.  

    The service is based in Cardiff Royal Infirmary, Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 0SZ and for those who cannot telephone the service due to being deaf / hard of hearing or speak limited English can attend the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. Depending on your reason for visiting, you may be offered an appointment either on the ground floor or 1st floor, or in Broad Street Clinic, Barry, CF62 7AL.

    Alternatively, the Sexual Health Wales Website offers a range of resources for information and services for home delivery of sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening.

    For unplanned pregnancy queries, contact the Pregnancy Advisory Service - Cardiff & Vale on 02921 842638 to discuss options. 


    Young People Services: for those under the age of 18 years old who need contraception, STI testing / treatment, or advice, you are able to access drop in services: 

    - Cardiff Royal Infirmary, Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 0SZ on Tuesdays between 2.00pm and 5.00pm

    - Broad Street Clinic, Barry, CF62 7AL on Thursdays between 3.00pm and 5.00pm.
