Summary
Routine Dental Treatment: If you have received routine care at an NHS dental practice within the last 4 years, and you need to make an appointment for routine treatment, please contact your dental practice directly.
If you have not regularly attended the same dental practice as an NHS patient, you can apply for a place online using the Dental Access Portal if:
- You are aged 16 or over (parents/guardians can apply for under 16s)
- You have not had routine NHS dental treatment in Wales in the past four years
- Live at an address in Wales for more than six months of the year or attend a Welsh GP practice
You can use the Dental Access Portal to apply for a place with an NHS dentist as an individual and you can add someone else, such as a child under 16. You can also apply on behalf of others, such as a family member, friend or someone you care for or have a trusted relationship with.
Please use the following website link to apply for a place online: Apply for an NHS Dental Place - Dental Access Portal
If you do not wish to or cannot apply online please contact the Aneurin Bevan Dental Helpline on 01633 744387 or email ABB.Dental.Helpline@wales.nhs.uk
