The Minor Injuries Unit at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon is currently closed and will reopen in early 2022. Please use the A&E department at Prince Charles Hospital instead of this service. 

Please note: patients are advised that if capacity levels are high, there may be a chance that they will be redirected to alternative services if they cannot be seen within the opening hours. It is then up to the patient if they wish to sit and wait. Closed on Bank Holidays. For navigation purposes please use postcode CF45 4DG. Exclusions: Exclusions for head injury: Any patient over the age of 65 with head injury, Loss of consciousness, Dementia Patients, Patients on Anticoagulant medication, Any unwitnessed falls, No Child under one years old

Out Of Hours Access Arrangements: Can refer patients to the nearest open MIU when this MIU is closed, or patients can be seen in their nearest Emergency Department if urgent.
