Waiting time for a first outpatient appointment

This is the time you will wait for your first hospital appointment with a clinician following a referral from your GP or medical practitioner.

The average waiting time for a first outpatient appointment for this speciality is 19 weeks 10% of people are waiting 44 weeks or more for a first outpatient appointment following their referral being received by the hospital

Waiting time for start of treatment

This is the time you will wait to start of treatment following a referral from your GP or other medical practitioner. This is often referred to as a ‘referral to treatment’ waiting time.

The average waiting time to start treatment for this speciality is 28 weeks 10% of people are waiting 105 weeks or more to start treatment following their referral being received by the hospital
