Hywel Dda University Health Board provide diabetes services for adults, children and young people with type one diabetes, as well as specific clinics for women with diabetes who are either planning a pregnancy or are pregnant.

Exclusions: Patients with type 2 diabetes should be managed by GP or practice nurse but if you are not able to be managed effectively you can be referred into the service. You will need to get a referral to the diabetes consultant.

Referral Criteria: This service is available if you are patient with type 1 diabetes and if you are patient with diabetes who cannot be managed directly by your GP.
