Summary
Children and Young People’s Therapy Services include Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and Nutrition and Dietetics.
The services are delivered across the Swansea Bay University Health Board (SB UHB), which covers Swansea and Neath Port Talbot (NPT). Therapists work in a variety of locations including Children’s Centres, nurseries, schools, colleges, patient’s homes, health centres and hospitals.
The service covers children and young people from birth to their 19th birthday.
How to access the service:
1. Self Referral via Form:
This is an open referral system which means that anyone who knows or works with a child or young person can refer to the service. This may include parents/carers, teachers, other health professionals, consultants, GP’s etc. If a professional is referring on behalf of a parent, consent needs to be obtained from the parent/carer before the referral is sent. Referrals cannot be accepted where signed consent has not been given.
