Summary
Children develop communication skills from birth. Speech, language and communication skills develop at different rates. Some develop quickly, while others take longer.
The service may work with children who have difficulty using speech sounds, language delay, a specific language impairment, hearing impairment, cleft palate, stammering, autism/social interaction difficulties, or hoarse voice.
They may also work with babies who have feeding and swallowing difficulties.
How to access the service:
This is an open referral system. You can contact the department on 01685 351300 or 01656 754019. Depending on your child’s needs, the service offers appointments on the telephone, by video, or face-to-face.
