Summary
Urgent Care: If you have a dental problem that has not improved with painkillers; a dental infection or a lump; or swelling or an ulcer that has not disappeared after 2 weeks, you are advised to phone your dental practice.
If you do not regularly attend a dental practice, please contact the Dental Helpline on 01633 744387, which is open Monday–Friday, 9:00am to 12:15pm and 1:15pm to 4:00pm. Please be advised that when contacting the Dental Helpline during weekday evenings, 6:30pm to 8:00am, you will receive an advisory service only. Therefore, you will not be able to book an urgent appointment, but will, for example, receive advice on pain relief. During weekends and Bank Holidays, patients can also contact the Dental Helpline, where a limited number of urgent appointments are available at 19 Hills Health & Wellbeing Centre, Newport, and/or advice can be obtained.

The NP8 postcode covers locations within both the Aneurin Bevan and Powys Health Board areas. This service is not available to patients who reside in Powys.
