    Summary

The Same Day Urgent Care (SDUC) service is led by advanced clinical practitioners.  Patients can be referred in by other professionals, or self-present. They can provide medical help when it's not a life-threatening emergency. They can diagnose and deal with many of the common problems people go to A&E for including minor injuries and illness. Patients can be assessed, diagnosed, and treated and then they can return home the same day. They may be given a plan of care involving referrals to other services if necessary.

Patients are advised to ring the SDUC before attending.

Out Of Hours Access Arrangements: Can refer patients to the nearest open MIU when this MIU is closed, or patients can be seen in their nearest Emergency Department if urgent.
