On the Development of football in China

1. Can you talk about your experience after you retired from NFL? And what have you been doing lately about football?

Ed: After the retirement of NFL, I joined a company specializing in promoting football in China (CAFL). We successfully held the first professional indoor football league in China, and it was very successful. This year, after the reorganization and integration of the company, we intend to restart the game in China. Recently, I joined Stonehenge, one of the largest top youth training institutions in China. We went all over the country to promote this sport from the grass-roots level. It was a great experience for me.

2. In the past few years, what do you think is the biggest change in the development of football in China? Tell us one thing that you are most proud of in the development of Chinese football jerseys.

Ed: I think the biggest change in the development of football in China in the past few years is that the sport has started to develop in an all-round way at different levels. More and more people are participating in this sport, not only adults but also many children and teenagers are participating in it, as well as many universities have teams. I loved it when I was a kid, and I’m proud to be able to do something to promote it now. I’m glad to see that more and more teenagers are playing football and getting happiness from it.

3. Do you have any expectations for the future development of football in China jerseys?

Ed: I hope that after that, football will continue to develop healthily in China and even become the first sport in the country.
